Missing links

Different types of identification of authors' names are used in COBISS (full names) and in WoS (surnames and initials of the names), and there are differences also in bibliographic data. This makes the automatic identification of the corresponding records very difficult. The biggest differences occur in titles containing chemical formulas or other symbols. For authors for whom a link has been established on the basis of their name and surname in the SICRIS system and WoS and Scopus databases, lists of their publications in WoS and Scopus that are not yet linked with relevant records from the COBIB.SI database (missing links) will be created daily:

Publications by Slovenian authors in WoS and Scopus are identified on the basis of their institutions' addresses. The discipline is determined on the basis of the scientific field code of the journal in the Scopus ASJC database.
